The Shawnigan Parks Commission is made up of local residents who volunteer their time and work closely with CVRD Parks staff on community parkland acquisition opportunities, trail and park development, park maintenance, and local community parks events.
All commission meetings are open to the public and those interested are encouraged to attend. They are held the third Thursday of each month at the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre.
